The 11th Annual Mid-Atlantic Truck Camper Rally is next week. There are still campsites available. If you haven’t signed up, please call the campground at 757-824-0777 to reserve your campsite.
The Mid-Atlantic Truck Camper Rally is at Tall Pines Harbor Campground in Sanford, Virginia and goes from Thursday, April 7th until Sunday, April 10th. Sherri Barker sent us a schedule of events. Below is an abbreviated version. A full version can be found on the MATCR website.
If you show up on Wednesday, you can participate in the baked potato bar. The campground supplies the taters and fixins. Bring your own drinks and participate in the early bird spud-sensation!
Here is the calendar of events of this year’s Mid-Atlantic Truck Camper Rally:
Thursday, April 7th
Registration, T-shirt sales, raffle, and sweepstake sales
6:30pm – Low Country Boil. Come out for a feast of shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn, and hush puppies!
Friday, April 8th
Registration, T-shirt sales, raffle, and sweepstake sales
1:30pm – Sea Glass Adventure. Hunt for some “Shore Sea Glass”
7:00pm – BINGO. “It’s A Shore Thing” themed BINGO
Saturday, April 9th
Registration, T-shirt sales, raffle, and sweepstake sales
9:00am – Swap Meet. Bring items to sell, and your want list.
11:00am – Scavenger hunt
1:00pm-2:30pm – Rig Open Houses. Walk through truck campers with flags displayed.
4:00pm – Group photo at the waterfront.
6:00pm – Theme Contest for the 2017 MATCR. Winner wins three day campsite for following year’s MATCR!
6:30pm – Bring A Dessert Social. Raffle and 50/50 Sweepstakes.
9:00pm – Fireworks
Sunday, April 10th
8:30am – Farewell Breakfast sponsored by Parkview RV.
