Wedauwoo, Wyoming

“My buddy and I had spent all day climbing in the Voo which is known for it’s burly, wide crack climbing; think getting stuck in rocks and bleeding everywhere. As we were leaving I noticed the sky.  My buddy, Forrest, hopped on top his camper to see over the trees. I snapped a picture of him from the ground.”

Camper in Monument Valley, Utah

“On our way to Alaska we traveled through Utah and visited Monument Valley.  Monument Valley, owned and run by the Navajo Indian Nation, offers a spectacular 17 mile drive amongst its tall picturesque rock formations, however, you are not allowed to take an RV on this ridiculously bumpy and rough road.  Therefore, as we left Monument Valley, we stopped four times on the road just outside the park.  We wanted to position the camper relative to the rock formations and sun rising to get the photo seen here.  Enjoy!”

Yellowstone Buffalo

“We were traveling back to camp around sunset when we spotted some buffalo across the river, so we parked.  To our surprise the buffalo all crossed the river toward us.  My daughter stayed in the truck.  We stayed out of the way of the buffalo as they walked all around our camper.  It took them about twenty minutes before they all crossed and walked by us.”

North Rim Grand Canyon with a pop-up camper

“This is at Fire Point at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.  This place has some of the best views of the canyon.  To truly appreciate the Grand Canyon you have to stop and enjoy more than one sunrise to sunset.  The scenery literally changes with every breath.”

Big Bend, Texas

“This photo is from Santa Elena Canyon in Big Bend National Park in Texas.  The cliffs to the left of Rio Grande River are Mexico and the cliffs to the right are the United States.  Big Bend was spectacular!  We saw many Javelina and Road Runners.   We traveled along the border of Mexico from Padre Island, Texas to El Centro, California with a stop at Organ Cactus National Monument.”

“To fully experience the vastness and wonder of the Chihuahuan Desert, we camped in a different backcountry location each of the five nights we spent in Big Bend National Park in March of this year.  The roads to the remote backcountry sites were very rocky and rough.  One site was six miles in and required an hour and a half of travel time each way.  It was well worth it because the solitude and night skies were spectacular!”
